Various video game web sites and companies have banded together to raise money and support the cause. Extra Life founded by SarcasticGamer.com is a 24-hour worldwide gaming marathon. All proceeds will go the Texas Children’s Cancer center and benefit pediatric cancer research and treatment. The Texas Children’s Cancer Center is one of the premier cancer and hematology centers. More than 30 websites and nearly a thousand gamers all over the globe are already hard at work, gathering personal hourlu sponsors for the marathon. Electronic Arts (EA) has issued a challenge, for every dollar raise this weekend until Monday morning at 5:00 am, EA will match your donation amount in the form of free games for the kids at the Texas Children’s Cancer Center up to $2,000 dollars.
