Japanese Game Market Declines 21.6% In October

The industry in the Land of the Rising Sun continues to see sales fall. PSP dominated hardware for the month, but a new PSP, new Pokemon and Wii Music weren't enough to boost the market. Famitsu Marketing Data Service has provided us the latest video game sales data for Japan covering the October period. Total sales fell 21.6 percent year-over-year while hardware sales declined 29.1 percent despite the introduction of a new PSP model. Software sales dropped 14.9 percent. ( www.gamedaily.com )
